30 mince pies ready to take to the golf club tomorrow. Actually there are only 29, cooks priviledge, had to try one to make sure they were okay and they taste delicious, probably the huge amount of brandy i put in the mincemeat has helped.

Fruitless journey to Ikea today, we took our old table and chairs to the charity shop, having bought a new table a couple of weeks ago from Ikea, and for some reason only known to himself, Roy decided not to buy the matching chairs at the same time. So today it was a trip to Ikea, and guess what, no chairs, they will not be in the shop until January 3rd. So tonight we have eaten our evening meal at the new table, but we have had to resort to garden chairs for seats, and they are lower than dining room chairs, my chin was nearly touching the table. Men!!
