Winston Spencer Churchill

My neighbour, Mrs Punch was showing me a few of her letters that she had recieved during and just after the 2nd World War today.

I thought this one was very interesting as it's a reply from the then Prime Minister Sir Winston Spencer Churchill.

Mrs Punch had written to him saying that she was very sorry to hear thet he had just lost the general election in 1945.

The envelope was also hand written by Churchill and was stamped in the usual way, not franked.

I have checked the signature and it is genuine.
