Following the star...

...the wrong way down a one-way street.

The alignment of the road-sign and unilluminated Christmas lights made me chuckle as I approached it. Then thought about it for a moment.

The Magi are high on my list of favourite characters in the Christmas story. Oh, the shepherds are endearing, but the Magi looked ahead, saw what they were going for and followed it, even in a way that doesn't immediately make sense.

I get the feeling they would have followed the star even if cultural expectations, convention and road signs told them they were going the wrong way.

And I wonder if my convictions are that strong.
