Instrument of Praise

Several ppl (no names called! hehe) did not answer my last quiz but i couldnt resist another one. Can you guess what musical instrument this is? As a hint, it originated in Trinidad and Tobago. We have a band consisting of these at my church and we held an instrumental concert today where this was featured.
