Ghost Bus
So, my blips have been a tad uninspired and dull recently and yesterday I foolishly promised something more interesting for today.
When I saw the weather this morning, I knew my chances of getting an interesting outdoor blip were slim and then as I was looking out of the office window at the horizontal sleet, I had an idea for an experiment. On Tuesday I tried zooming with a long exposure and today I've been trying out long exposures on the traffic. The buses worked best and I was particularly taken by this salmon pink coach.
I've purposely gone for a sort of arty, abstract effect with this image, so the slightly wibbly wobbly nature of the bus lights are by design and nothing to do with the fact that I took this photo standing on tip toes, resting the lens hood on a plant pot :-)
I enjoyed doing this and will definitely try it again - with a tripod, not a plant pot next time....
As always, size matters.
