family Traditions old and new

There was started by my Granny the family tradition of making the dumpling for Christmas dinner. Although my Grandmum did a few, it was mainly Grannys that I remember. Since she passed away I took up her mantle and using the handed down receipe carry on.
Its the Littlest Dragons' turn this year, mixing stiring and asking why so much stuff goes into the big bowl :)...Oh...and whats Brandy? Seven hours steaming and for me...this is the start of Christmas as my house smells wonderful.

My new tradition.....well No1 son and the Littlest Dragon wanted to build a gingerbread house. Not so easy....let me tell you, watch for tomorrows blip to see how we got on!
