Spruce Cottage....
Here is Terry repairing the damage that took place tuesday night! A very large tree fell onto the roof of the Spruce Cottage. If you look to the right of the image you can see the remaining part of the tree! It must have happened later in the day, and luckily the worst of the rain had subsided. Around 8pm the hydro folks came out, and with chain saws etc, they removed it from the power lines and the roof. Terry was pretty worried that the skylights had been damaged, thankfully they survived no problem. So, this morning Terry began the task of re shingling the 6-7 holes that were made in the roof! I spent a chunk of time removing most of the tree from under the ladder etc....and cutting shingles for Terry!
It could have been so much worse, but as it is Terry still has quite a bit of work to do. Luckily no one is booked into this cabin until 27th december! And thankfully the day has been good weather wise, altho there is rain in the forecast for later today!
