The snow's back

The snow came back this morning which made me think twice before setting off for our Christmas get together at Hanginwater Studio. By around 11 am the snow seemed to have eased and I decided I'd risk the journey into Sheffield. This was the scene as I drove through Grenowood. No snow in Sheffield at this time only rain.
By the time I returned at around 3.30pm the snow had increased and the trees were swathed in snow, though I felt it wasn't safe to stop this time to take more photos.
The snow put paid to my plans for a Christmas meal with work colleagues. Living ten miles north of the city, in a rural village, I feel I don't need to take any chances with ice and snow covered roads. I hope they are having a good time and that they all get home safely.
