Flood waters.....

New Brunswick received huge amounts of rain on Tuesday resulting in flash flooding in many areas. On Wednesday, the Saint John River and many nearby lakes also flooded. This cabin sits on an island along the road I travel each day to and from work. The water surrounding the island (name unknown to me) flooded as well. The builders of this cabin were very smart in that it appears to have been built above the flood line (this time anyway). The rest of the island appears to be under water.

Today's commute involved several km driving with water on both sides and to make it a bit more fun, it was snowing and the roads were slippery. Ahhhhh, New Brunswick winters are certainly unpredictable! Every day has a new challenge!! :-)
