Roger-The Glass Artist

This is Roger, my oldest. He is a glass artist, and I have featured some of his work in my previous blips. The sweater he is wearing was hand knit by me. It is a Norwegian ski sweater and the design is from Dale of Norway. It is 100% wool and is very warm, which is good for him since he's always cold. I have knit several Norwegian ski sweaters, but this one is my all time favorite. I love the geometric designs and the color palette in this one. The sleeves are slightly different, which is a design element of this pattern. I love to knit these sweaters, and if I work at it, can knit one start to finish in six weeks. I have had people say, "You knit that on a machine, didn't you?" No--it is entirely knit by hand with balls of wool and circular knitting needles.
