Experimenting with Cellophane & Ribbons
I like pretty things. And shiny things. And well, pretty things that are shiny.
Seeing as today is the universal Holiday Party Day at the office/school/insert-your-place-here, I was tasked through the evening to try my hand at wrapping holiday treats and making them look pretty & shiny. Do you think I succeeded?
Contents: Peppermint White Chocolate Chip cookies and Pink Himalayan Sea Salt Chocolate Chip cookies. Missing in action: Cocoa Meringue Kisses that decided to waste 4 hours of my life. Never again!
Trying to steal the limelight: a sliver of an adapted version of Momofuku Bakery & Milk Bar's Crack Pie. In case you're wondering, my version of the infamous $44 Crack pie tastes like pecan pie minus the candied toasted pecan topping. Being a lover of pecan pie, I have no complaints! I've got the sneaking suspicion, though, that if I had defied the instructions and eaten the pie while it was still warm, I might've really understood just how such a small, little pie got its addictive name. :)
Happy Friday!
