Langdale Panorama

Well, the early start was pretty much worth it - though it never gets easier. Thankfully more cloud than I'd anticipated, though if the low band on the eastern horizon could've buggered off, I'd've been happier! The light didn't hit the peaks until the sun was a little higher as a result, and so the colours were less intense. I have been becoming concerned that we might loose alpenglow in the next couple of years for a time as a long term effect of fall out from the icelandic volcano - apparently this effect has been seen before. So another thing to get anxious about whilst waiting for the light!
