When is a choir concert not a choir concert? When it is also a brass band concert!

2 for one tonight in Kirkintilloch with the ladies choir and the Kirkintilloch Youth band as their guests. Also on the bill were 2 violinists and a harpist who were superb. I've often sung Elgar's The Snow but never with Violin accompaniment nor Britten's Ceremony of Carols with a harp. Although we were told that the original accompaniment was the harp since Britten was reading up on harp music when he composed it, while travelling from the US to the UK. (Everyday is a school day!)

I miss singing these sort of things.
