Ravages of Time

Late posting today because of a domestic crisis, nothing major just terribly inconvenient and inconsiderate.

I worked pretty hard on the Web site today and have gotten 96 photographs with titles and descriptions loaded on the eight galleries. The process is very repetitive but the finished product will look quite good.

As a consequence, I did not have the time to venture out on a photographic walk and made do with what I could find in the back yard.

The canna lilies are looking somewhat forlon, as they do at this time of year, but the colour of the brown leaves and stems caught my eye.

It is worth remembering what the canna lilies looked like at their best and what they will look like again next year. Here is a shot posted in June.

P.S. It appears you get penalized for late posting. This shot failed to appear on the first page of thumbnails after posting but went straight to the third page and into obscurity. It kind of sums up my evening. I probably would have done better to back blip.
