Early Morning First Snowfall

There was a steady snowfall overnight. My workplace was on a two hour delay. I drove in much earlier but I had time to step out into the bosque. Mine were the only footprints besides one trail of coyote prints. The stillness and the silence were breathtaking. Everything including the sky was white.

The rest of the day was a little hair-raising, but tonight as I look at the pictures I took this morning, the stillness returns.
