At the Roeder Home
C and I went to the Nooksack Salmon Enhancement Association Christmas party at the Roeder Home this evening. It's a beautiful old mansion that was completed in 1908 and took five years to build. By Bellingham standards it's a very old building -- this is the newest part of the New World.
The Roeder Home was given to Whatcom County Parks & Recreation in 1971 by Mrs. Donald Keyes, the current owner, to be used as a community cultural arts and social center. It can be rented for private functions.
