O is for Obumbrate

The day was totally overshadowed by the incredible amount of lovely white stuff we have down here in West Cork. I appreciate that I can stay comfortably warm and cosy in my house and am not depending on happy shoppers or deliveries or clear roads to get home in time for Christmas, but it IS beautiful.

I took this as the next wave of weather rolled over us, perfectly obumbrate.

Obumbrate - to overshadow, darken or cloud over.
