Sloe Gin 2010.
Quandary is, although it is drinkable now, can we bear to leave it to mature further?
As we have some left from 2007 [don't ask me how we managed that!] which is nicely fruity and leg-wobbling, we might just be able to resist temptation and save this another year.

I've always had to go scavenging for sloes, but a few years ago we planted a small group of blackthorn and this year had a bumper crop for the first time. Plenty left for the birds too.
Oh and they tell me you can make a delicious pud from the left over gin soaked berries.....
