Festive

This weekend I have been faced with the difficult task of watching the fire, caring for it and making sure it doesn't go out. I know - it's a hard life. The decorations went up today, the tree, holly across the mantle, etc, so I'm beginning to emerge from my Grinch-like cocoon and am feeling something approaching festive...

...until I have to brave minus temperatures and fog tomorrow. What larks...
