Flax by the bay
Third morning at the beach. Better weather, but still very grey, with the sun still obscured most of the day by total cloud cover. This morning I ended my morning run with an extra loop to the adjacent inlet on Kawau Bay, to find that a gloriously flowering flax has thrust some of its flower stalks over the foreshore path. Some previous passersby had broken three of these magnificent displays; fortunately these were left, requiring a scramble to get through after taking the photo.
