A Work In Progress!

Today was the annual Christmas Tree Hunt and extra special because the kids were home with us this year to participate! Last year they were in China --so we waited until they could get here from Cheney and go with us---thus the selection was sparce where we like to go so a much smaller tree had to be chosen--only mom was disappointed a larger one was not to be had! Everyone else was telling her (me) of the need to pare down pare down.

After our return to home to put it up we discovered the tree stand more accustomed to a larger tree would not do for the smaller on---as son # 1 the Gander had tried to tell us back at the tree place! So after some unsuccessful attempts the Gander went out with our "adopted" son Scottie to find a more suitable stand.

After many attempt it finally was in it's place, then lights were strung by mom, Scottie was adorned with the Rudolph nose, Big R asleep, Goosie helping mom pare down the ornaments and then Voila! A Beautiful decorated tree--everyone put on the stocking caps as per the tradition---hats all made by my mom and we wear them each year --dogs had their antlers and Pooters escaped a hat!
