Female House Finch
She's a plain little 5 inch bird and is usually found feeding with her much more colorful mate. We have them year round, and in the spring we are treated to some fabulous singing.
This one posed briefly on top of the rhododendron bush, which has its buds for next spring, and our roof is in the background. A junco was previously blipped beneath this same bush.
