I'm just a philistine!

We returned to Elche (ELX) today as we were so impressed yesterday and had found that most things were closed..."Cerrado, we are closed...why...well it's Monday of course"

Anyway we went back on Tuesday and all was well. We went to the history museum and went round all the exhibits of tombs and recreated ceramics and bronze items...arrow heads, etc etc etc....

Then we had a fantastic lunch for only 9 euros per person...3 courses wine and coffee...ye cannae beat it. Then off to the modern art museum who are currently showing a collection of Picasso drawings. Have to say though, your average 8 year old can beat it!!!!!! Glad that exhibit was free.

When I got back to the boat, the best memory of the day turned out to be the shot of this little publicised bridge, the 'Pont de la Generalitat' which we walked to after it caught our eye in the distance. Simply stunning and I have more respect for the architects artistic ability than that of Picasso. I would say sorry to Picasso lovers reading this but I would be telling big porkies. If you have Picasso in your list of admired artists, you haven't looked at enough art yet!

Rant over!

I hope you like the bridge.
