Keeping in the Christmas Theme...

Just that really. R made a fantastic roast beef lunch complete with yorkshire puddings :-)

Oh and we sorted out our New Year plans... Ambleside Youth Hostel for a buffet, hot punch and fireworks by Lake Windermere! This is something that I have wanted to do for many years so, so can't wait.

We have Christmas Day sorted too, we're having breakfast here for the first time ever and another first will be to have lunch with my Mum and family with only nipping in to see M and B... the newly weds! I don't think it has gone down too well with M, but what she has to understand is that while she may have moved on from G who we lost nearly 5 years ago (and no-one denies her this new found happiness), R will never move on and with Christmas so soon after the wedding R doesn't feel he his ready to spend Christmas with B. Totally understandable though I'm not sure M does! It is at this point I could use this journal to 'air my thoughts'... Maybe I shouldn't and should move on swiftly... or may be I should get it off my chest but hey ho! I'm just feeling very protective of R and his feelings!

I am looking forward to R and I spending Christmas lunch with my Mum and the family though, I never thought it would happen :-)

Hoping so much that my new alternator arrives tomorrow so I can get out and about... even in the snow.
