Bad Slightly disappointing news: - Improved statistics
Not to advocate one way of thinking over another but I had hoped that the middle ground would make up a larger percentage. It's encouraging that the percentage of outright creationists is shrinking because that means the undereducated won't be appointing our leadership in a couple of years. There isn't, in my opinion, a thing wrong with believing that some life force brought us to this point in the earth's history, as long as that belief doesn't get infused into the running of a country and forced on believers and non-believers alike.

Good but not-good-enough news: - A bit too obvious?
Do we really have to ask ourselves, Pope Benedict, how the Catholic Church has come to this sad point? A better job must be done to not let pedophiles become priests? I think that would be very difficult, given that pedophiles don't usually make public declarations of their aberration. Has it never occurred to you that it is the restrictive, unhealthy atmosphere of being a priest that perhaps fosters this behavior? Celibacy, no marriage, no female priests-until your clergy is allowed to lead lives as normal, sexual beings, I don't think your problem is going to go away.
