Stirling Point, Bluff
Great day had by all today I think. Set off in iffy weather, first a quick stroll to the Matai falls and then on to Bluff, the point on the South Island that everyone believes is the most southerly point (it isn't, Slope Point is apparently) Bluff was as it's name suggests - bluff or in English - bloody windy! Was extremely warm wind though so wasn't totally unbearable. This shot is one from Stirling Point - just out of Bluff and the position of the signpost for the rest of the world.
The chain links in the shot are a sculpture which supposedly link NZ with Stewart island and also reflect the story of the Polynesian god Maui who hauled Stewart island up with a fish hook etc.
Linkhere for other photos of above mentioned places :-)
