Eggborough Power Station - apart from looking blip-worthy this industrial giant is doing a great job for us all not just today but every day.

It is easy to forget unglamorous services like powering the nation, but in current weather conditions, I feel respect and gratitude to those who keep the fires burning in our power stations. Even my gas-fired heating couldn't work without electricity from Eggborough and other coal-fired power stations. They may not be very green, but right now they are essential. Maybe one day we will find an alternative source which is as effective and reliable, but meanwhile: Thanks for keeping us going through the harsh winter!
