Lights Back On

One thing guaranteed to get you out of bed, despite aching limbs and a sore throat, is a mysterious electricity cut and water dripping fast through the ceiling between floors.

No electricity, ergo no heat, toast, clean clothes, hot water......

By the evening the problem was fixed, the wires drying out, the systems beginning to restore themselves.

Limbs still aching, and throat still sore, I lit my early Christmas present for comfort - the comfort of candles - and the odd electric light.....
