Goldeneye

Bucephala clangula

In winter dress, much less striking than the summer drake.

The coot (Fulica atra) is so close because there is only a wee bit of open water, all the birds are crowded together.
Very bad photo, but the day was so cold that I didn't want to take my hands out of my pockets for long enough to get a better one...
