Orcadian Moonrise
This is from the ferry waiting room on Graemsay looking toward Clestrain on Mainland.
There was a thick bank of freezing fog as we approached Graemsay from Stromness, but it was mainly sunny on the island. The fog provided some photographic opportunies, though. I had also overlooked the fact that it was the shortest day of the year and that Graemsay lies in the lee of the highest point in Orkney, Ward Hill on Hoy, so the whole island was in shadow from about two o'clock. Still a good walk, more here.
The waiting room at the jetty was warm, but I opened a window to use the sill to support the camera when taking this
