Trip to the Big City
We went to see a financial planner in Seattle today. The visit had no connection with the unscheduled financial damage we suffered yesterday -- it was planned weeks ago.
We were not looking forward to the trip at all. The traffic into and out of the city can be bad at any time of the day, and I hadn't driven in downtown Seattle for quite a while. Then there was the first meeting with our advisor. I was pretty sure we were in good financial health, but Pensioner's obscene comment yesterday knocked me off balance a bit.
The sun shone on us most of the way down and back, there were no slowdowns anywhere, we didn't get lost in the concrete canyons, and Cheryl (now officially our advisor) assured us that we're very unlikely to be a burden to our children -- at least not financially.
The photo was taken from a window in Cheryl's company office on the 29th floor.
