Christmas Tree

The shortest day they say, with a 5.30 am start at work, it felt pretty long to me.

I still need to photograph this tree at night, but for now here it is as the sun sets. 

I had plans for a great sunset photo to coincide with the winter solstice, but that same cloud cover the prevented me from photographing the lunar eclipse also prevented me from seeing any sunshine today.

Sunrise 8.05 am
Sunset 4.16 pm

Considerable more light than Aberdeen and Shetland. Still not enough however.  But good news, summer is on the way.
