Will it? Won't it?

I felt sorry for this amaryllis when I saw it struggling to grow in it's box in Asda, so I bought it. I thought it might just be in flower for Christmas.

They are very good natured and don't need much except kept warm and watered. I usually keep them in the conservatory which isn't warm at this time of year but at least it's frost free. If you feed them up over the year they will flower the next year but not at Christmas - more like late Spring.

You might think I have totally lost the plot - feeling sorry for a plant, but I love my plants and growing things is one way to cater to my creative urges.
