Last minute dash to the supermarket!

I was feeling brave and took a last minute dash to the supermarket this evening and it was surprisingly not too busy, perhaps the snow has kept everyone away? i picked up my last minute secret santa presents and some essential Christmas chocolate.

When leaving the supermarket, I couldn't help but notice this rather hilarious 'pet stop' sign and wondered if it means any of the following?
1. A pet version of the traditional 'bus stop'
2. An instruction for all pets not to step beyond this point
3. A meeting point for all local pets, to meet and greet
4. Something else?

I wonder exactly how many pets stop at this designated supermarket meeting point...?
