Weirdly wired

With the school closed because of snow, the kids are consoling themselves with a frenzy of ... er, chess and raw veg.

Matt: "Mmmm, celery!"
George: "I like carrot that's not cooked."
Matt: (slightly condescendingly) "You mean raw carrot, George."

They're either doing it to confuse me, or it's some strange form of cabin fever.
