Pas

Final highland dance lesson of the term, the one where the parents get to watch, and whether it's the Pas De Bas or the Pas De Basques (my internet-based research has thus far proved confusing and/or inconclusive on the matter), these steps were involved for sure in my eldest's rendition of 'The Sword Dance'. Quite impressive. Not sure whether she'll continue next year because with all activities when you're aged 7 (dance, gymnastics, swimming, anything else you care to mention) they all seem to waver in popularity and appeal from one week to the next.

Got a great recommendation from a pal t'other day for the 'Black Noise' album by Pantha Du Prince. Lovely stuff - cracking tunes and lots of nice bells and bits of piano that glide along effortlessly. All very reminiscent of a lot of Four Tet's ouevre, but German. Whole album is wonderful, so picking a track at random whilst still being representative of the whole shebang, I'm going to plump for this one
