Merry Christmas - Fröhliche Weihnachten

Tiny crib on our Christmas tree which I traditionally put up today (and not a day earlier!).

I bought this little crib in 1984 in a Käthe Wohlfahrt shop along with two others for my first own Christmas tree. It was very expensive for me back then!

Germans exchange Christmas presents on Christmas Eve - it is THE day or better THE night.
By the way: Not Santa Claus, but the "Christkind" = Christs child brings the presents!

Dinner afterwards and church at 9:00 pm (used to be at midnight; but with the priest shortage the hours for the Christmas Mass needed to be adjusted to make all church communities happy that "share" the same priest).

4:10 pm -1,2° C (Snow, snow, snow - snowing all day! White Christmas!)
