The Gift of Service

Service - seems it is becoming an old fashioned word in a world more dominated by personal agendas and self-interest.

At this season of giving, I'd just like to say thanks to those who give themselves in the service of others.

So......for all those in the Armed Forces and their families in various parts of the world; the emergency services - police, ambulance, fire, health specialists; coastguards; mountain rescue and all other emergency services; and others who place service to others ahead of themselves at this time like snow-plough drivers, merchant sailors; those who staff lighthouses and power plants........ a very happy Christmas to those whose gift of service is so important to each of us.
