Young L is quite the artist. These are cartoon personalities that she has been developing. I noticed them on her night table when I kissed her good night this evening.

I remember when she was only three years old and I saw her, bathed in the sunlight on our front porch, and I was amazed as I watched her painting a picture ambidextrously, holding a brush in each hand. That picture still hangs in a frame on her bedroom wall.

Some memories can bring us absolute joy.
