Christmas
So dark the sky,
T'is Christmas eve.
To worldly thoughts,
I take my leave.
And travel to that land afar,
Where stories tell.
Of him who came from heaven,
On mortal earth to dwell.
Born humbly in a manger,
In that long ago.
He was the Son of God,
And one bright star did show.
He came...and suffered misery,
And died that men might live.
So joyous do we hear His name,
And hallowed praises give.
To Him...who came to us,
To atone for Adam's loss.
To pay the price in suffering,
And to die upon the cross.
