Drip drip

Today the sun was shining and I noticed water running down the slates outside my window, I could even hear a small trickle. That means it's above freezing point. It seems positively balmy.

Today I made the world's greatest Yule Log - at least that's how it feels. Hours of whisking and a few comedy swiss roll rolling moments combined with boozy cherries and I'm pretty sure it's a winner. We'll have to wait for the big day to see. It is always my job to do the puddings for the meal and I'm normally a bit rushed and herangued as I make the meringues. However, due to the drip drip of jobs being ticked off the list I managed to have loads of time and felt very chilled. It felt very much like a christmas treat.

In addition to it being the week of Christmas, this week also hosted me and Colin's two year anniversary, and whilst it's very cheesy to mention it, it feels pretty momentous to me - and isn't that the point of blip? So tonight we mangaed to squeeze in a take away and a wee celebration. Very nice it was too.
