Christmas eve

Day of lots of eating and drinking. Had a lovely brunch at W&V's house, filled with lots of prosecco, mimosas, coffee & amaretto, and scotch. And V made an amazing crab souffle for brunch. We also played a great board game called Labryinth that involves lots of spatial planning and strategizing. Great game.

Then Jer & I ran to the grocery store for some last minute things and managed to make it out alive.

We had some lovely 'black bubbles' (Shingleback Black Bubbles Sparkling Shiraz NV) and St. Germain manhattans before dinner. Then we had a whole grilled king salmon with a sweet potato & chard gratin.

We do presents on Christmas Eve, so we opened all our presents tonight, then had chocolate fondue afterwards.

Lots of presents were given (which I think exceeded the $30 price limit we made), but everyone was happy.

Long day full of eating, drinking and presents. I'm beat. Good night.
