Aladdin

Apparently this camel is named Aladdin. A little too obvious, am I right?

You can visit him if you go to George Washington's house in Northern Virginia (and get stuck in DC traffic on the way home, but that's another story).

According to the website, General Washington was fond of unusual animals and plants, and he paid 18 shillings in 1787 for a camel to temporarily live at Mount Vernon for his guests during Christmas.

I'm not exactly sure what his guests were supposed to DO with the camel... admire it? Ride it around the farm? Kind of strange.
