Christmas Tree?

Some might call it a travesty. It's not an evergreen but a live oak, some 400 years old. It is massive and sprawling, now in poor health and too fragile to hold the many lights it once did. This may be the last year for lights. Once drawing thousands from miles around, today it is barricaded with fencing and relies on supports to help shoulder the lights. Cars dribble down a dead end street, pause a moment while cameras pop their flash, then turn and drift away. My first visit, and last.
