El Gato

We have been pleasantly surprised on this trip to Mexico that most of the dogs and cats that we have seen appear to be well fed and generally healthy. There are not the mangy, hungry animals we have encountered on trips past. There is active Humane Society in Zihuatanejo (we heard they spayed and nutured 75 animals in one recent week), but I don't know if that helps the animals that run wild around town. This cat, however, obviously wasn't wild as he was quite comfortable in the window of this condo we passed on the way to the beach. Comfortable and well fed this warm, sunny Christmas morning.
