She's Alive...

Woo hoo, I have at least half a compact camera again. I picked it up and just incase it might work and it sort of does. I think I have the first semi-automatic focussing camera.

I turn it on and the lens comes out. After you flick the shutter flap to make it open, all it takes is a wee twist of the fully extended lens to make it focus correctly and then let the auto-focus take over. The zoom control is completely fecked so the zoom effect is achieved by walking closer to my subject.

Oh well. it's still sort of convenient and should tide me over until I can replace it.
