Frozen

The Water of Leith is still mostly frozen over, all the way to the first weir, The temperature has not really risen above freezing since last Sunday, so even the slush on the pavements is more like brown sugar; no melting means that the snow hasn't compressed to ice.
The poor wee birds are having a bad time of it, so I carry a bag of mixed seeds and mealworms to scatter for them whenever I go outside...
