A thaw
Todat we awoke to a warm southerly wind. Sounds good perhaps but its not really. Oh yeh, we need it to chase the snow away but in point of fact now that it is windy and damp it feels colder.
Clare and I went out for a walk only to find many of the surfaces were much more slippery than they were before. Now they are wet on top. The only safe place to walk is on the road but that also has its hazzards.
By the time we arrived back home the rain had started too. So it really isn't a nice day at all. The photograph is of a pathway that we would have liked to go but it was too slippery. The snow had been trampled to slush which had then frozen. thast in turn had thawed a little and the rain was falling on it. No, we returned the way we had come.
