A month of record low temperatures and thick snow followed by blue skies and pristine air but today the weather has changed.

UK residents will be rejoicing, but not me! I love snow; always have and always will.

Raised as a Perthshire farm boy I grew up through many wild winters and learned early on how to drive in all conditions.

Today an Atlantic low pressure system has descended upon the country.

Everyone will be happy that it's grey and miserable at last.
