Celebrating Christmas

In Sweden we celebrate Christmas on Christmas Eve (we're really fond of the "eves" of every kind of celebration here - we celebrate Christmas Eve and Midsummer's Eve and so on, and spend the actual DAYS either being hung over or just really tired and still full from all the eating the day before ;)), as did we this Christmas. It's all about the food of course, and since we're practical people, we usually eat out this day, so as not to have to cook, serve and do the dishes ourselves :) This year we were joined by 11 other friends of the family at a hotel/restaurant that serves a spectacular Christmas buffet, and proceeded to tuck in during three hours or so. Yum!

We actually drove the 40 km to the restaurant even though there was a "class 2 warning" regarding driving due to the harsh weather conditions and all the snow. We didn't encounter any problems on the way though (even if the road was a bit "washboardy" at times :)), and I'm so glad we could celebrate like that, the 15 of us!

This pic was taken on the road from the restaurant, and I couldn't help myself but copy and flip it to create the effect you see now...
